Doctor of Psychology in School Psychology
PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Doctor of Psychology in School Psychology program at Argosy University introduces students to lifespan development, cognition and affective processes, and methods of prevention and intervention for academic and behavior issues. Students will have the opportunity to study psychological assessment techniques for children and adolescents, neuropsychological assessment, cognitive assessment methods, theories of intelligence, and personality assessment tests, as well as develop integrative assessment skills. Additional coursework includes cognitive behavioral therapy, family and couples therapy, group psychotherapy, child psychotherapy, child and adolescent psychopathology, social psychology, child psychology, and clinical psychopharmacology. The program includes 12 credits of clinical field experience and coursework pertaining to the professional roles, ethics, conduct, and laws for school psychologists.
